On December 27, SEU hosted the 10th International Young Scholars Forum & Wuxi Talent Exchange Conference, with over 100 scholars from domestic and international
institutions in attendance. During the event, the SEU School of Intelligent Science and Engineering was officially inaugurated, with its seven research centers settling in
simultaneously, marking a significant milestone in the deepening collaboration between the university and Wuxi in promoting smart technology development. Liu Pan,
Executive Vice Secretary of the CPC SEU Committee, attended the event and presented the educational planning for the Wuxi campus.
The newly established School of Intelligent Science and Engineering is closely aligned with Wuxi’s local industrial development needs. The school will focus on key tasks
such as attracting high-end faculty, driving technological innovation, and nurturing top-tier talent. It emphasizes interdisciplinary collaboration, prioritizes the transformation of
scientific achievements, and is committed to building a world-class interdisciplinary group with international influence in intelligent science. The school is strategically
positioned as: an international development hub, a center for technological breakthroughs, and a new starting point for interdisciplinary research. It will deeply integrate the
city’s and university’s innovation resources to create a high-level platform for talent gathering and development, promote deep university-city scientific research cooperation,
and build an innovation base for the integration of industry, academia, and research. The goal is to foster new quality productive forces and contribute to the intelligent
transformation of industries.

The school has established seven major research centers, including the Intelligent Materials Research Institute, the Perovskite Photovoltaic and Integrated Optoelectronics
Research Institute, and the Intelligent Science Research Center. These centers bring together renowned scholars, national-level talents, and promising young researchers.
The research will focus on cutting-edge areas, including intelligent science, smart transportation, future energy, communication and network security, electrical systems,
and intelligent materials, to achieve a series of breakthrough outcomes.
