Two Experts from Zhongda Hospital Southeast University Awarded “Top 10 Experts with Outstanding Medical Contributions” and “Top 10 Medical Rising Stars” for the Year 2025

Two experts from the Zhongda Hospital of Southeast University have been honored with prestigious titles at the 11th Annual Medical Conference (2026). Liu Ling, Deputy Dean of the School of Medicine, SEU and Director of the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) at Zhongda Hospital, was named one of the “Top Ten Medical Contribution Experts” for 2025. Xie Jianfeng, Deputy Director and Chief Physician of the ICU at Zhongda Hospital, was named one of the “Top Ten Medical Rising Stars for 2025”. Both experts were recognized and honored at the conference.




Liu Ling is serving as a chief professor at SEU, the chief scientist at the National Key Technology Research and Development Program, and Director of the Jiangsu Provincial Key Laboratory of Organ Failure and Functional Reconstruction. She also serves as Vice Chair of the Critical Care Medicine Committee of the Chinese Society of Pathophysiology. In addition, she is an editorial board member ofIntensive Care Medicine, Deputy Editor of Annals of Intensive Care, and an editorial board member and Executive Director of Critical Care Medicine. Her research mainly focuses on the mechanisms of multi-organ failure and organ support technologies, with a particular emphasis on ARDS pathophysiology, mechanical ventilation optimization, and clinical and basic research on multi-organ dysfunction.

Xie Jianfeng is a Young Chief Professor at Southeast University, a visiting scholar at Emory University in the United States, and an International Research Fellow at the Royal College of the UK. He currently serves as the Deputy Secretary-General of the Critical Care Medicine Physicians Branch of the Chinese Medical Association, the vice leader of the Youth Group of the Critical Care Medicine Branch of the Chinese Medical Association, Vice Chair of the Critical Care Medicine Branch of the Jiangsu Medical Association, and Vice Chair of the Critical Care Medicine Committee of the Jiangsu Pathophysiology Society. His research mainly focuses on the pathogenesis of sepsis and the regulation of immune dysregulation.
